Crafty Catz GDT - week 3

Back this week with an adorable image from Whipper Snapper for this card as inspiration for the Crafty Catz challenge blog.  I LOVE WHIPPER SNAPPER - they couldn't be any cuter.  When this challenge suggested I could use any image of my choice, they were my go-to stamps.  My niece is having a baby shower this weekend - so what better chance to use this adorable image Sweet Safari.

I colored it up with my Copics and found some design papers in my scraps - I think they are from Die Cuts With  A View and matched perfectly.  The challenge is to add a touch of pretty ribbon, so the yellow ribbon above the die cut sentiment is a finishing touch to complete the card.

There are some great chances to win prizes from Crafty Ribbons and participate as a guest designer over at Crafty Catz this week... head on over and play along with us.  I would love to see what you are creating!

Crafty Catz - week 2

Back today with a new make for my guest designer spot at Crafty Catz Challenges.  The sponsor is Lucy Sunshine and I adore this image of the hobo-clown...isn't he just too cute?

After coloring him with Copics, I picked some design papers that accented it, then layered them up.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches and the die cut around it is from Spellbinders.  Simple to put together and will be fun to give away.

Hop on over and join in the fun at Crafty Catz - you could win this image or pick your own from the amazing collection at Lucy Sunshine.  The challenge is "anything goes" and the twist this week is "love is in the air".

Crafty Catz - Guest Design week 1

I have the wonderful opportunity to be a guest designer for a wonderful challenge blog called Crafty Catz.  The challenge is always "anything goes" over there, but they also have a twist of "one for the girls" if you want to play along.

The sponsor is Star Stamps and they provided me with this adorable image.  I colored her with my Copics and then added some cute design papers and a fun die cut frame to this card.  I found a simple hugs stamp from Paper Smooches to add the sentiment.  I like the way it turned out.

Hop on over to Crafty Catz to see all the wonderful samples the design team created and join in the fun challenge!

I Love You

Back today with another Paper Smooches inspired card.  I used the Smoocheroos stamp set for it together with some fun edge stamps from EK Success and a oval die set that I recently pick up.  I colored it with my Copics and although you can't tell, the balloons are covered in glossy accents.  I used some fun 6x6 Doodle Bug papers to keep with the bright and cheery feel.  The colors and prints them come up with at Doodle Bug are always so happy!  It all came together very easy and I hope Torrey smiled when she got it in the mail.

Just Because

This happy little angel card was for a friend who is going through a rough time in life - I just wanted her to know I was thinking and praying for her.  The image was a digital stamp by Marina Fedotova, but when I went to find a link at where I bought it, I honestly can't find it.  I know she designs or designed for Whimsy Stamps for a bit, and I was on their design team for quite a while.  So, I am kind of assuming I got it there, but I can't say for sure.  If anyone out there knows where you can find this stamp, let me know so I can source it properly.  Thanks!

I colored her up with my Copics, added a Spellbinders frame with some pretty design papers, then a ribbon and pearls was all it needed.  I think it's a very happy card!

Hope your day is fabulous!

Update - Thanks Auntie Sue for the suggestion that it might have come from Sugar Nellie - that's a strong possibility.  I know I won a prize from them a while back, but since I didn't label it properly, I can't know for sure.  Since her shop has been closed since 2016, I still can't find out 100%.  Lesson learned, will be more careful from now on.

Thoughts of You Explosion

These explosion box cards are such a fun and unique way of making a card and the Lawn Fawn scalloped box card pop-up set makes them sooooo easy to do.  I used that set for the entire box setup, banners, and all.  Then I added some stamped and Copic colored flowers from Paper Smooches (Best Buds) set.  I fussy cut them all cause that's what I call therapy!  Hehe...  I love the way it came together and I hope it brightened a friend's day when she got it.

Penguin lovin

Look at me...posting two days in a row...that's right, I'm proud of myself!  Woohoo!

So, I wanted to share this cute little make I did for a dear friend at Christmas.  It's covered in Lawn Fawn stamps and die cuts, colored with my Copics and layered to the hilt.  You can't tell, but it's also drenched in glitter!  What's not to love, huh?  I just love these two sets from Lawn Fawn - and although I wouldn't mass produce this one for my Christmas card list, doing it for a special friend was so much fun.  Hope you enjoy!

Have a wonderful blessed day!

You are my Happy!

Well, it's a little dusty in here - time to return and start posting again.  I've still been creating, although not been good about taking pictures of my projects and posting here... but that's gotta change.

Starting with a project I created to send to my bestee, Ms. Torrey.  She really is my happy place, so this seemed appropriate for her.  I used a cute stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs - love their animal images - colored with my Copics.  A few fancy frame/die cuts, sequin flowers and voila!  Done deal!  I hope it brought a smile to Torrey's sweet face.

Thanks for stopping in - I'll be back soon!
